Indian Artist’s Srinivas Mohan won the National Award for Enthiran Visual Effects

| Indian Artist’s Mr. Srinivas Mohan has won the national award for best special effects in 2003 for the stereoscopic 3D movie Magic Magic', and again in 2008 for Sivaji'. | ||||
| When asked about this 3rd national award Mr. Srinivas Mohan said to Animation Focuz, “This is a team effort and I owe this award to my team. We faced a lot of difficulties in bringing in new technologies to India. We worked for 3 years on this film and this award gives a feel of satisfaction for all that hard work and boosts our enthusiasm more to make such movies in the future. " | ||||

| Mr. Srinivas Mohan said he was very thankful to all of his foreign and internal teams and to every freelancer who was a part of the movie. He said that the entire process would have been impossible without the creativity and visualisation of Director Shankar. Mr. Srinivas Mohan said, “Director Shankar was the mastermind behind every scene. He had it all planned out so well that we didn’t have to change anything at all. He helped us a lot to bring about many unimaginable sequences. He is really a genius." | ||||
| Mr. Srinivas Mohan dedicated the award to all of the studios who were involved in the VFX productions and also every other person who were hard-working to make it a huge success. Finally he also talked about how Mr. Rajini Kanth was very cooperative throughout the production processes. He said, "Rajini Sir never complained about any hard situation we put him in. He underwent lot of hardships for the success of this movie and I would like to thank him too for being a reason for me to get this award." | ||||
| Currently Mr. Srinivas Mohan is working with the crew of “Nanban” Directed by Shankar which will be hitting the screen soon. | ||||

| Endhiran has also got the award for Best Production Design, which will be awarded to Sabu Cyril. 58th National Film Awards were announced on 19-May, 2011 17:03 IST. Prior to announcing the awards the jury members met Information & Broadcasting Minister Smt. Ambika Soni and submitted her the list of awardees. Feature Films jury was headed by Shri J.P. Dutta, Non-Feature Films jury was headed by Shri A.K. Bir and Best Writing on Cinema jury was headed by Shri Ashok Vajpeyi. | ||||
